Despite having recently parted ways with (and been rebuked by) his law firm, President Donald Trump’s “personal attorney” Rudy Giuliani escalated his battle with Michael Avenatti, the lawyer for the adult-film actress Stormy Daniels.
Earlier last week, Avenatti Giuliani to a debate.
I think it would be very helpful for the public to witness a discussion between Mr. Giuliani and me concerning the facts of the case, etc. I am willing to participate on any network provided both sides are provided a fair shake. I am also willing to do it on 12-hrs notice.

Mr. Avenatti continues to outfox the totality of the president’s legal team. That was a perfect tease for Giuliani who, like Trump himself. relies on a “tough guy who shoots from the hip” image. So, if that’s the actual case, he would surely jump at the opportunity to face Avenatti, right?
But, as reported by During a Business Insider, Giuliani said he wouldn’t debate Avenatti because the lawyer was “pimping for money.” During the phone interview, Rudy Giuliani reportedly said:
“I don’t get involved with pimps. The media loves to give him room because he makes these roundabout charges and they turn out to mean nothing. I think he’s going to get himself in serious trouble.”
Oh, so he’s concerned about Avenatti getting himself into serious trouble? That’s how he’s playing this?
Fortunately for all of us, Avenatti replied beautifully via twitter:

Last week, Michael Avenatti expanded his reach. He’s no longer just Stormy Daniels’s lawyer, as he blew the whistle on Michael Cohen’s finances across the media. Cohen was already the focus of a criminal investigation in the Southern District of New York into whether he violated campaign-finance laws or committed bank fraud. He has not been charged with a crime, but the suddenly public knowledge that he padded his own wealth with $1.2 million dollars worth of funds he received from companies he wasn’t known to represent… and held all of that money in the account for the same shell company that he used to pay off Ms. Daniels… well, it doesn’t look good.
Just like Giuliani and Trump don’t look good. Ever.
