Even for Trump, this is has been a harrowing week. Between the bombshell news about his attorney — the one who brokered a deal with the adult film actress to cover-up an alleged affair — had been raided and the excerpts being released from James Comey’s new book, ‘A Higher Loyalty’, it seems as though the circus that is the Trump administration was running a five ring circus while only staffed for the usual three.
Many folks wondered whether this might be the time for Donald Trump to cut his proverbial losses. One person actually asked that question, officially, to Trump’s press secretary.
On Wednesday, White House Correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks, April Ryan, said that she has received multiple death threats after asking press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders whether Donald Trump had considered resigning.
Ryan told CNN that those who oppose the president have thought her question was “great,” while Trump’s supporters have been enraged.
April Ryan, per CNN:
“They’re angry. I’ve been getting death threats and we’ve been calling the FBI and I mean, I put one on social media and this is real. I asked a simple question … I did not point a finger, I asked a question and now my life is in jeopardy because of a question. But I’m going to continue to do my job.”
In response to Sarah Huckabee Sanders’s assertion that Ryan’s question was “ridiculous,” Ryan said:
“That is not illogical, irrational. It is a real question on the table, the path [the] White House does not want to deal with because they’re trying to craft the picture, the winning image. And there is no winning picture at this moment,”
