The warrant that lead to the search and seizure of Anthony Weiner’s computer has been unsealed in response to a request filed under the Freedom of Information Act.
If you’ll remember, this is the warrant that led to FBI Director James Comey’s interference with presidential election, the warrant that very well may have cost Hillary Clinton the election, and left us with the ill-equipped Donald Trump as president.
The original request for the warrant, from the FBI, was incredibly unspecific, simply mentioning that they had “probable cause to believe” there was evidence of illegal activities. But, according to USA Today, the “lawyer who requested it says it offers nothing at all” to merit the agency’s actions.
Randy Schoenberg of Los Angeles, California, is the lawyer who made the FIA request for the warrant.
When asked about the communications between Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin, Clinton’s former aide and now-estranged wife of Anthony Weiner, he said, “I see nothing at all in the search warrant application that would give rise to probable cause, nothing that would make anyone suspect that there was anything on the laptop beyond what the FBI had already searched and determined not to be evidence of a crime, nothing to suggest that there would be anything other than routine correspondence.”
Two days after the election, Comey confirmed the search brought no new information. Of course, the damage had already been done.
In Albany, NY, Bill Clinton made a statement to reporters, saying that his wife “fought through everything, and she prevailed against it all.” But in the long run, she simply had too much to overcome. “We had the Russians and the FBI deal. But she couldn’t prevail against that,”
Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, and in swing states, the margins between Trump and Clinton were razor-thin.
With the FBI’s completely unnecessary warrant, and Comey’s equally unnecessary announcement of the search, it is fair to suggest that the 2016 presidential election was stolen from Hillary Clinton
