Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders developed quite a reputation for dishonesty during her time in the Trump administration.
According to the Mueller report, which was released last year, she has admitted to lying to the press and to the nation.
One of the details in the Mueller report concerned Trump’s firing of former FBI director James Comey, who was ALSO leading the Russian collusion investigation prior to Mr. Mueller.
Trump reportedly fired Comey for a whole host of reasons, citing incompetence and as being disliked by FBI agents.
Just days after Comey’s firing, CNBC covered the event and reported Sanders as pushing those same claims. She also said in a press briefing that
“countless members of the FBI” had lost confidence in Comey.
But when she was questioned later regarding by investigators and pressed on whether or not Comey’s dismissal was actually due to his fellow agents lack of faith in him, Sanders admitted: the Trump administration made the whole thing up.

Mueller’s final report lists seven instances where Trump’s press secretaries lied to the public, reportedly to protect the President each time.
Five of those lies were directly from Sarah Sanders, who has stood at the podium and defended President Trump.
Sanders, in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, not only continued to defend her lie as a “slip of the tongue” but also tried to blame Democrats.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t a robot like the Democratic Party that went out for two-and-a-half years and stated time and time again that there was definitely Russian collusion between the president and his campaign, that they had evidence to show it, and that the president and his team deserved to be in jail.”White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders
