On Monday, Ohio Governor and longtime Trump critic John Kasich (R) proved he has quite the sense of humor after President Trump called him out on Twitter for “tamping down enthusiasm for an otherwise great candidate.”
The very unpopular Governor of Ohio (and failed presidential candidate) @JohnKasich hurt Troy Balderson’s recent win by tamping down enthusiasm for an otherwise great candidate. Even Kasich’s Lt. Governor lost Gov. race because of his unpopularity. Credit to Troy on the BIG WIN!

Balderson, is a Republican candidate for a U.S. House seat and he’s still in a “too close to call” race against Democrat Danny O’Connor in the results of last week’s special election. But Trump has apparently called it, in Balderson’s favor, but is disappointed by the narrow margin.
Republicans may well have cause for concern since Trump won that district by 11 points in 2016. since Trump may be taking this personally as he appeared at a Balderson rally the weekend before the special election.
Trump’s attempt to blame Balderson’s showing on Kasich ended up backfiring as the Ohio governor responded to the president’s tweet with a GIF showing a chuckling Russian President Vladimir Putin.

We all know that Trump is so petty, the i that Kasich’s response received so many likes, retweets, and replies of kudos probably bothers him much more than any particular political issue facing his party in Ohio.
But maybe he’ll think twice before calling out John Kasich again. If not, we look foraward to Kasich’s response.
