A new polling report has been released by Morning Consult and POLITICO, in which people were asked to grade Donald Trump’s performance as president on a grade scale: from A-F.
As you may know, later this month will mark President Trumps first year as President
of the United States. Thinking about the last year, what grade would you give the job
Donald Trump has done as President of the United States, with A being excellent and
F being failing?
The overall results are as follows:
- A = 18 percent
- B = 17 percent
- C = 14 percent
- D = 11 percent
- F = 35 percent
Five percent of those polled inexplicably reported having no opinion on the matter, but “F” as in failure clearly dominated. Taken together, 46 percent of those surveyed rated him at or below a “D” grade.
The results weren’t favorable for Trump on specific issues either. His worst performance was regarding his handling of climate change: 40 percent gave the president an “F” on his handling of global warming. Thirty-eight percent of those polled gave him an “F” on both foreign relations and healthcare.
But there is an even more damning poll that was released this week by CBS News. Those polled were asked to rate their confidence in Donald Trump as it relates to one of of four categories: Believers, Conditionals, Curious, Resisters. The results were compared to last year. Among Trump’s biggest fans (Believers), he has fallen from 22 percent to 18 percent, while his most ardent critics (Resisters) have risen from 35 percent to 41 percent.
So the presidential job limbo continues. How low can he go?
