First, Michael Cohen reportedly funneled word to the media that he is planning to cut a deal against Trump. That was telling enough, but then, he surprisingly resigned from his position as Deputy RNC Chairman, claiming that Donald Trump’s “zero tolerance” immigrant child camps was one of the tipping points.
Then we got the tweet seen ’round the world when Tom Arnold tweeted a new photo of himself posing with Cohen.

It was no secret that Tom Arnold is not one of Donald Trump’s biggest fans and has been out to get him for quite some time. It’s implausible that Michael Cohen wouldn’t have known that before posing with him. Naturally, people wondered what they were up to.
According to NBC News, Arnold had the following to say in regards to his time spent with Cohen: “I say to Michael, ‘Guess what? We’re taking Trump down together, and he’s so tired he’s like, ‘OK,’ and his wife is like, ‘OK, f— Trump.’”
However, Tom Arnold has since clarified that he was not in any way hinting about a formal partnership between him and Michael Cohen. Arnold’s backpedaling was neither necessary nor particularly believable, in light of the tweet as well as Arnold’s quote attributed to Cohen’s wife.
One would have to believe that she, too, surely knows Arnold has openly been trying to take Donald Trump down for a while now. If she really responded the way Arnold claims she did, then she must have similar feelings toward Trump, which means she is more than likely encouraging her husband to take a plea deal.
Michael Cohen has since given ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos a heavy quote of his own. The man who once said he would literally take a bullet for Donald Trump said:
“My wife, my daughter and my son have my first loyalty and always will. I put family and country first.”
