MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough went on record and said that Trump has doomed himself and his 2020 reelection campaign over the last two months with his ludicrous medical theories and threats to government agencies.
Scarborough said Trump went completely off the rails by doing the following things over these last weeks:
1) floating the theory of injecting disinfectant as a way to treat the coronavirus,
2) admitting to taking hydroxychloroquine as an unproven preventative treatment, and
3) criticizing government agencies including “every doctor or every scientist or every person who had spent their entire life planning for this moment when it came to vaccines.”
The longtime MSNBC host predicted that these two months of Trump’s behavior will go down in history as a turning point.
He says it Trump loses the election this November, he’ll have this time period to blame for it.
He said, “Historians, Americans are going to look back to these months and decide, this is when Donald Trump did more damage to his campaign than any Democrat ever could.”
“He goes out there and he’s scaring the hell out of voters every day by what he’s doing.”Joe Scarborough, on President Trump
This isn’t the first time Scarborough suggested that Trump’s handling of this pandemic was hurting his reelection chances.
Back in April, he said that Trump was “destroying” his 2020 chances at reelection by making himself the center of the daily coronavirus task force press conferences. Scarborough said Trump was “scaring the hell out of voters.”
