Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie just had a new memoir come out, and he’s using the book to deliver a seriously savage critique of President Trump’s White House. In “Let Me Finish”, Christie goes on a tell-all tirade, saying Trump “has a revolving door of deeply flawed individuals” doing his bidding in the White House.
Christie, who was a senior adviser to the President at one time, released exclusive excerpts on the news site Axios. In a quote from the book, Christie describes some of Trump’s employees in the following way:
…amateurs, grifters, weaklings, convicted and unconvicted felons — who were hustled into jobs they were never suited for, sometimes seemingly without so much as a background check via Google or Wikipedia,”
Christie fought for the Republican nomination in 2016 but when that didn’t come to fruition, he became a diligent supporter and follower of Trump but was ousted just 10 days after Trump won the Presidency.
Not only is there bad blood surrounding the President and Christie from the transition period in 2016, there is also a sordid history between Christie and Trump’s son in law Jared Kushner. Before Christie was Governor, he served as U.S. Attorney for New Jersey and prosecuted Jared Kushner’s father, Charles Kushner for tax evasion, witness tampering, and making unlawful campaign donations, leaving many to believe his fate with the Trump administration was doomed.
He got MSNBC’s Chris Matthews all stirred up…
