Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, went on a hateful tirade targeting the Black Lives Matter movement earlier this week. He “warned” the viewers of the Fox News show he appeared on that the group “wants to come and take your house away from you.” Yes, he really said that.
It seems that Giuliani has been taking notes from his client, President Trump, on how to say outlandish things and disparage millions of people in the process. Giuliani clams that the Black Lives Matter movement is actually an organized anarchist network with intent to “destroy” the government, “do away with our system of courts” and “take your property away and give to other people.”
Speaking to Fox prime time host Laura Ingraham, “This is an orchestrated effort.” He said that the anti-racism protests occurring all over the country were “no longer” about the police killing of George Floyd. He claimed, “That ended a long time ago.”
Not only does Giuliani’s outburst mimic the style of Donald Trump, he echoes some racist remarks made by Fox News host Tucker Carlson who recently said that the BLM movement is a “dangerous moment” for the US.
Carlson said, “They flood the streets with angry young people who break things, and they hurt anyone who gets in the way… When they want something, they take it. Make them mad, and they will set your business on fire. Annoy them, and they will occupy your downtown and declare a brand-new country. You’re not going to do anything about it. They know that for certain.”
